The Tektronix TDS540B oscilloscope is a graph-displaying device ?it draws a
graph of an electrical signal. In most applications, the graph shows how
signals change over time: the vertical (Y) axis represents voltage and the
horizontal (X) axis represents time. The intensity or brightness of the display
is sometimes called the Z axis

The TDS series are built upon the digitizing oscilloscope platform, featuring
multi-processor speed and flexibility, advanced acquisition and triggering
capabilities and a unique graphical user interface for intuitive operation.

The TDS Series combines the performance needed with the ease of use demanded by
customers in digital design; research and development; electromechanical
design; high speed component development and characterization; and
telecommunications design and automated test.
