The 889A Magnetreater is a precisely controlled instrument with pulsing output that provides, at maximum setting, energy bursts equal to 10kVA. This makes it possible to treat shielded core type instrument mechanisms. Demagnetization of instrument magnets can be controlled to fractions of a percent. The unit will demagnetize almost all meters of the D'Arsonval type, including the new core type mechanisms. Relay magnets, tachometer generator rotors, temperature control devices, selsyns, magnetic indicators, etc., can be treated to pre-determined levels with high accuracy and consistency.
