Differential inputs on both channels allows proper monitoring and troubleshooting of balanced line applications. The 100uV/division sensitivity is useful in low level audio applications. HP1200B has a conventional CRT and the HP1201B has a storage/variable persistence burn resistant CRT which is great for low frequency work and displays that occur at slow rates to eliminate flicker. Both scopes are in the rackmount configuration but also sit nicely on a shelf above your bench.
