The Anritsu MD1230A is a general-purpose measuring instrument for IP networks. The MD1230A integrates router performance testing function with network monitoring function. The MD1230A uses the Windows� 98 operating system with an 8.4" TFT LCD screen, offering a simple and familiar user interface.



The MD1230A is a portable measuring instrument in which interfaces for 100BASE-TX, GigaBit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, OC-3/12 POS, 2.5G POS/EOS, and 10G POS can be installed simultaneously. Its monitoring functions make it the perfect measurement solution for field troubleshooting.



Various 10 Gigabit interfaces can be supported just by changing the XENPAK transceiver.

Anritsu also provides two types of modules options that incorporate the Sniffer� technology. The MD1230A Decode Module (MD1230A-04) extends the protocol decode function, and the MD1230A Expert Analysis Module (MX1230002A) enables users to detect failures and signs of failures on networks and network equipment automatically.
