The type 2231 is designed for measurement of contact resistance of such items as circuit breakers, switchgears or resistance measurement on fuses, cables splices, bus bars, welds, heating elements, battery terminal ballast, heater elements etc. The rugged field instrument can be battery operated. It has a full 4 wire Kelvin terminal configuration.
Covered measuring range 0.1uOhm - 400kOhm, measuring current up to 10A.
