R&S FSH-K44 (option only) - adds 3GPP WCDMA BTS / Node B Pilot to the R&S FSH4 and R&S FSH8 Spectrum Analysers. This option is great for 3GPP WCDMA base station installers and maintenance teams.

Measures Signal Parameters, including:
  • Total power
  • Power of: Common pilot channel (CPICH), Primary common control physical channel (P-CCPCH), Primary synchronization channel (P-SCH), Secondary synchronization channel (S-SCH)
  • Carrier frequency error
  • Symbol EVM for the CPICH and P-CCPCH channels, which provides quality of overall signal information
  • EC/I0 beyond EVM value, the signal-to-noise ratio considerably affects signal quality. In a WCDMA system, the EC/I0 is decisive, i.e., the ratios of the chip energy (EC) to the power density of the interference signal (I0).
Excellent SensitivityWith the inherent excellent sensitivity of FHS4/8, it can synchronize on a BTS WCDMA signal with total power of only -80 dBm (preamplifier on). This allows the scrambling code detection and CPICH measurement of a higher number of base stations in the surrounding area.
