ETS-Lindgren is a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies, a leading supplier of engineered products for industrial and commercial markets. Founded in 1944 in Portland, Oregon, USA, Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (ESI) initially produced high-precision resistance measurement instruments. Now, over 60 years later, ESI is currently aligned with these three market segments: Semiconductors, Interconnect/Micromachining, Passive Components EMCO (The Electro-Mechanics Company) formed as an outgrowth of magnetic field and radio frequency research in the 1960s and is not part of ETS-Lindgren.
