Philips' T&M activities, included ScopeMeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer and function generator products. Philips was bought by Fluke in 1992 the sale brought to a close a T&M alliance established in 1987 between Philips and Fluke, which aimed to support each other in their respective U.S. and European markets. Philips, looking to refocus itself on core businesses, decided to sell its T&M operations to its partner.
